Gender Equity in Nepal’s Education System:Progress, Gaps, and Solutions
Abstract
Gender equity in education is a fundamental aspect of achieving social justice and economic
development. In Nepal, progress has been made toward gender equity in the education
system; however, gaps remain that impede the full realization of this goal. This paper
examines the progress achieved in promoting gender equity, identifies persistent gaps, and
proposes solutions to address these challenges. By analyzing statistical data, policies, and
case studies, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of
gender equity in Nepal's education system and suggest actionable strategies for improvement.
