Inclusive Education in Nepal: Addressing the Needsof Marginalized Communities
Abstract
Inclusive education aims to ensure access, participation, and success for all learners,
regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or socio-economic status. In Nepal, the challenges
associated with providing inclusive education to marginalized communities—including
ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and those in rural areas—are profound. This
research paper explores the current state of inclusive education in Nepal, identifies the gaps,
and offers a comprehensive policy framework for addressing the needs of marginalized
communities. By analyzing the historical context, present policies, and global frameworks,
this paper emphasizes the necessity of reforming Nepal’s educational system to make it more
equitable and inclusive.
