Abstract

This research paper explores the complexities of language diversity and the implementation
of multilingual education in Nepali schools. Nepal, with its rich tapestry of linguistic
heritage, presents a unique case for studying multilingualism in education. The paper
examines the socio-cultural, historical, and political factors contributing to language diversity
in Nepal. It further evaluates the effectiveness of multilingual education policies in promoting
inclusivity and enhancing learning outcomes for students from different linguistic
backgrounds. Through a case study of Nepali schools, the research offers insights into the
challenges and opportunities of integrating multilingual education in a linguistically diverse
society.
