Abstract

Abstract: This research paper explores the challenges and policy interventions surrounding
equitable access to education in rural Nepal. Despite significant strides in improving
educational opportunities, rural regions remain marginalized due to geographical, socioeconomic, and infrastructural factors. This paper examines the historical background of
educational policies in Nepal, analyzes current frameworks aimed at promoting inclusivity,
and evaluates their effectiveness in bridging the rural-urban education gap. Finally,
recommendations are proposed for developing a more equitable education system in rural
Nepal.
