The Role of Public-Private Partnerships inAdvancing Nepal's Education System
Abstract
Nepal's education system has undergone significant transformations in recent decades, driven
by various reforms and policy interventions. One of the emerging strategies in educational
development is Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), which integrate the strengths of both the
public and private sectors to address the challenges of quality, access, and equity in
education. This research paper explores the role of PPPs in advancing Nepal’s education
system, evaluating its effectiveness in improving infrastructure, delivering educational
services, promoting innovation, and enhancing capacity building. Through an in-depth
analysis of case studies, policy frameworks, and international practices, this paper
underscores the potential of PPPs to drive sustainable educational growth in Nepal.
Challenges such as policy inconsistencies, financial constraints, and stakeholder collaboration
are also discussed, along with strategic recommendations for strengthening PPP initiatives in
the education sector.
