Abstract

Teacher training and professional development are crucial for improving the quality of
education. In Nepal, this area faces numerous challenges, including limited resources,
outdated training programs, and insufficient professional growth opportunities. This paper
examines the current state of teacher training and professional development in Nepal,
identifies the key challenges, and proposes a strategic roadmap for future improvements. By
analyzing existing literature and policies, conducting interviews with educators, and
evaluating successful international models, this study aims to provide actionable
recommendations to enhance teacher training and professional development in Nepal.
